In 1977, Yajurvindra Singh caught 7 Catches in the Test Match. Being a Big Fan of him, his father K K Chahal made a name related to his idol as Yuzvendra Chahal.
When Yuzvendra Chahal was growing up, his parents introduced him to Chess. He also liked to Play Chess Games. With the help of this Indoor Game, Yuzvendra Chahal Learned Many Problem-Solving things in life. In 2002, Yuzvendra Chahal becomes Champion of the U-12 National Children’s Chess Championship. He wanted to be a Professional Chess Player. Seeing his Success, his Parent’s supported him a lot. Next Year Yuzvendra Chahal represented India in U-12 Asian Youth Chess Championship which was held in Kerala. He becomed in 13th Position in this Championship. World Youth Chess Championship was organised in Halkidi, Greece where he secured the 67th Position. For Playing at a higher level, Yuzvendra Chahal needed high Training. But, the Fees for Professional Training were about Rs 5,00,000. He was unable to get Sponsorship which left this Game.
At age of 7 Years, Yuzvendra Chahal also Played Cricket. At a time when he knew he can’t play or participate in chess. Then he fully focused on Cricket. In Jind Place, there was not a good facility for Cricket. So, his Father made 2 Pitches on his 2 acres of Land. For better Training, Yuzvendra Chahal started going to Jind Cricket Stadium.
