Sonu Nigam was born on 30 July, 1973 in faridabad, haryana, India. His father was a stage singer who has sung various hit songs in Bollywood. His mother was also a good singer. Due to his parent’s, he developed interest in singing from very early age of 3 years only.
It was a time when his father was singing in a stage. That time, Sonu Nigam was just 3 years old. He cried in backstage for singing. His parent’s had never seen him singing. He sung Mohammad rafee song “Kya huwa Tera wada” in the stage. His song was too good when he singed infrant of other’s in stage. From here only, his parent’s were attached to his singing.
By this way, Sonu’s parents saw his talent of singing. After completing her schooling from Jd Tyler school, Delhi, india. He used to actively participated and win the competition. From school days only, he used to top in class. He had also worked in various films as a child artist.
Reaching his teenage age, he decided to make his career in singing. As he has won singing competition in schools. His parents decided to shift to Mumbai to fullfill his Sonu’s dream. He did his college studies from University of Delhi, New Delhi, India.
He got opportunity for singing by T-Series owner gulsan kumar. He sung the song “Oo Aasman Wale” which was liked by gulsan kumar. As starting, he used to sing Bhajan songs. As he was great fan of muhammad rafi songs. He released his song “Rafi ke yaaden” in t series. He got recognised for singing and got opportunities for stage shows.
For Bollywood, he sung the song for film “Janam”. But, the film didn’t release due to some reasons. In 1995, he sung song “Achchha Sila Diya Tune” for the film “Sanam Bewafa”. This song becomed a hit and was appreciated.
He got opportunity to host the Indian singing reality show “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”. This made him reach a name in everyone’s house by the show. Then, he sung song “Sandeeshi Aate hai” with roop Kumar rathore for the film “Border”. This song becomed a super hit song.
In 1997, Sonu Nigam sung the song “Deewana Dil” for the film “Pardesh”. Apart from singing, he was also seen acting in the film “Love in Nepal” in 2004. After this, he worked in the film “Jaani Dushman”. Later, he gived for hindi voice for Hollywood animated cartoon film “Aladdin”.
