Munawar Faruqui was born in 28 January, 1992 in Junagadh, Gujarat, India. He belonged to a gujarati muslim family. His father lost the money suffering from a debt. So, he had to work along with his mother and grandmother for expenses.
After doing his school studies till 5th class. He started working for earning money. His mother committed suicide when he was 14 years old. He shifted along with his family to dongri, mumbai. In Mumbai, he has struggled doing job as a salesman, waiter to support his family. He did computer course and got graphic designing job.
Due to this, his family becomed stable. Then, he also decided to do stand up comedy. He gone for the ad shooting from the company. The makers wanted to do standup comedy. He told about that he can do the standup comedy. This way, he started going for open mic doing stand up comedy along with his job.
The people started appreciating his comedy. His father told to do full time comedy. In 2020, he created YouTube channel “Munawar Faruqui” for stand up comedy videos. It was uncertain that his father died on February, 2020. Later, Due to lockdown he was unable to do standup comedy.
The videos got reach which started getting views on YouTube. He also started making video songs. Most of his songs becomed controversial. In 2021, he performed his show at indore. The bjp mla son made a case on him for making joke for Hindu god.
This way, the police arrested him in 2 January, 2021. He got bail after spending 37 days in jail. He did many shows but many shows were stopped. He created his second youtube channel “Munawar Faruqui 2.0” on April, 2021. He starting uploading live streaming of video games and vlogs videos on the channel.
In 2022, he got opportunity to work in ott reality show “Lock Upp 1”. He becomed the winner of the show. Apart from this, he is also a good lyricist and rapper. He started gaining attention. Later, he also participated as a contestant of Big Boss 17 and becomed winner in 2023.
