Kumar Sanu is an Indian playback singer, music director and politician. He is popularly called as “Sanu Daa”. His real name is kedarnath bhattacharya. So, here you will know the life story of Kumar Sanu.
Kumar Sanu was born in 20 October, 1957 in Kolkata, west bengal, india. He belonged from a family having singing environment. At starting, he played musical and instruments in his childhood days. After completing his schooling from RBT Vidyapith, Sinthee, Kolkata, India. Then, He did his college studies for B.Com studies from Calcutta University, kolkata, India.
He moved to mumbai to become a singer in films. He lived in a mess in mumbai. He saw a singer who was singing in a hotel nearby his mess. So, he asked for a free time to meet the manager of the hotel. He met and told that he can also sing.
After many talkings, he got a chance to sing a song. He sung the song “Mere Naina sawan bhadon phir bhi Mera Mann Paisa”. In 1986, the people’s entering the hotel where really impressed. He got many tips by the people on that time.
In 1986, he got opportunity to sing in the bangladeshi film “Teen Kanya”. Then, he got opportunity to sing in the bollywood film “Hero Hiralal” in 1988. He struggled hard in the music industry. He got introduced to ghazal singer jagjit singh.
In 1989, jagjit singh helped met kalyanji at vimal bunglow, mumbai. Then, he changed his name from Sanu bhattacharya to Kumar Sanu due to his idol Kishore kumar. He camed to mumbai were kalyanji anandji gives offer to sung for the film “Jaadugar”. Later, he singed for bollywood film “Aandhiyan” in 1990.
In 1990’s, he become popular singer whose voice was appreciated and collaborated with many bollywood industry. His main turning point in 90s comed with film “Aashiqui” in 1990. This way, the songs for the film “Aashiqui” made him popular. His songs becomed hit working in the films such as “Saajan”, “Deewana”, “Baazigar”, “1942: A Love Story”, “Dilwale Dulhania le jayenge”.
After long time, he comeback by singing song “Chhammak Chhallo Chhail Chhabili” for the bollywood film “Rowdy Rathore” in 2012. Then, he sung in the film “Dum laga ke haisha” in 2015. Till now, he had collaborated with many singers. Now, he is also judge of Indian singing reality show “Indian Idol 14”. This way, he has worked on various professions on the entertainment industry.
