Arjun Rampal was born on 26 November 1972 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. He belonged from a defence background where his maternal grandfather designed artillery gun. Due to some reasons, his father and mother separated when Arjun Rampal was small. His mother would look after the children.
Arjun Rampal and his younger sister did schooling at St. Patrick School, Deolali, Maharashtra, India. In this school only, his mother was a teacher. After this, he completed his 12th from Kodaikanal international school, Tamil Nadu, India. He was also a good athlete from his school days.
After completing his schooling, Arjun Rampal completed his studies in Economics with honours from Hindu College, University of Delhi. He dreamt of becoming a sports player. His looks were very much appreciated by his friends.

He also worked in films such as “Dil hai Tumhaara”, “Tehzeeb”, “Asambhav”, “Elaan”, “Dil ka Rishta”, “Vaada”, “Don” etc. He worked in many films but was unsuccessful. He then worked as a special appearance in the film “Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna”. From this film only, Arjun Rampal became a good friend of Shahrukh Khan. Then he worked with Shahrukh Khan in the film “Om Shanti Om” in 2007. In this film, people appreciated him for his role.
